Oswald Mosley—a decorated WWI hero and one of the youngest MPs in Parliament—stuns Britain by launching the British Union of Fascists. His blackshirts bring street violence and antisemitism to London in the 1930s. Backed by press baron Lord Rothermere, Mosley’s movement swells. But at the 1934 Olympia rally, the brutal beating of hecklers by his blackshirt stewards reveals the savage heart of his cause. In 1936, Mosley weds Diana Mitford at Joseph Goebbels’ home—Hitler among the guests. The marriage seals his party’s role as a Nazi outpost in Britain. As WWII erupts, Mosley campaigns for peace with Nazi Germany—a stance seen as treasonous. In 1940, he is arrested under Defence Regulation 18B; his party is banned. Released due to ill health, Mosley attempts a political comeback—but his past haunts him.
